I hope your Memorial Day Celebrations were filled with honor and respect for our fallen warriors. May we never forget the millions of men and women who have given their lives so that we may enjoy our freedom today.

Let’s continue with a look at some of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Studying the lives of these men will hopefully quicken in our hearts the love of the history of our country and the price they paid to create it.

Charles Carroll was one of the wealthiest signers of the Declaration of Independence and the only Catholic involved in its signing.

His father, Charles Carroll, also known as Charles Carroll the Settler, was from Ireland and migrated to America near Baltimore around 1659. He became prominent in the earliest stages of the city’s growth and purchased a large plantation. He served under Lord Baltimore as a judge and land office register. His son Charles Carroll was involved in the Political structuring of the new-found Nation.

He served on various committees for the cause of freedom but was not allowed to hold public office because he was Catholic.

He was famous for a series of articles he published in The First Citizen, decrying the abuse of the Governor of Maryland at the time. From this series of articles, he was labeled “a most flaming patriot.”

He is quoted as saying, “Without morals, a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying Christian religion (whose morality is so sublime and pure)…are undermining the solid foundation of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments.”

He missed the actual vote for the Declaration of Independence on July 2, 1776, but arrived ten days later to take his seat in Congress. On July 19th, Congress adopted a resolution to write the Declaration on parchment with attached signatures. This was a most serious step, for if they lost the war, they would lose everything, including their lives. Carroll was a millionaire, and this was a huge step for him and his family.

When signing he was questioned by John Hancock since he signed it Charles Carroll. Hancock noted that. “we could not tell which Charles Carroll is signing it” because he had the same name as his father. Charles took the pen again and finished it with the words “of Carrollton,” the name of his estate in Maryland.

He was the longest-living signer, dying at the great age of 96 on November 14th, 1832.

How did we get here? A big part of the reason is that since January, 2021 the BidenX-Regime has been conducting political-prosecutions of its political enemies … and the Right (for the most part) has just, at best, SAT ON ITS ASS and done nothing. But just keep telling yourselves … IT CAN’T HAPPEN HERE! THEY WOULDN’T DARE! WE HAVE THE GUNS! Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

“What is the most important thing that GraniteGrok has brought to NH”?

So, at Groktober Fest held last October, I got Jeff Chidester, Carla Gericke, and Jim Kofalt to answer that question. I also added a couple more folks. Here is Mike Rogers’s answer to that question. In his typical British brevity, he got right to the point and gave a minimalist response:

• “Reporting, opinion, event coverage, and Constitutional Government and the less, the better!“

Ah yes, the engineer’s definition of excellence – a sufficient number of words to get the job done but no more than what is required.  Less is better and Mike got it right.

As I said in the video, if anyone knows what GraniteGrok is about, Mike should know being Grokster #3 or #4 – about 16 years of time.

And with having passed the baton to Steve, I know that the ‘Grok will stay true to that quote as its mission. He also got his second point absolutely correct:

Fundraise so that Steve can lead GraniteGrok and become our first full-time paid person (as I went into semi-retirement mode – family medical issues).

I hope that, over the next 18 years, we will continue to uphold his words. As I have said before, who else is doing what we do (and what comes naturally)? Many have tried in the past, and we have outlasted them all (and some were very well financed, to boot); it shows what ordinary people can do when motivated to do so over the long haul.

Again, as a reminder, I announced my semi-retirement from GraniteGrok due to the heightened needs of my family. And yes, again, I was surprised as the words came out of my mouth (surprising to me – I didn’t even know I was going to do it!) from the ‘Grok I had founded 18 years ago due to family issues that HAD to take priority. And in doing so, I turned everything over to Steve, knowing that it would be in the best of hands – I was not disappointed.

Sidenote: And that is the reason why I am taking this opportunity to ask you to donate to GraniteGrok. We are all volunteers, but with Steve’s full-time job gone away, this is the opportunity to keep him and all the time he puts in with his wit, wisdom, and dry humor full-time in a paying position. We were lucky with his old job – nooks and crannies of time always showed up, and he spent it spinning up post after post. However, if he has to look for another full-time job, there’s no guarantee that he’d have the same amount of time for you all to enjoy.

So now that things have calmed down, I can resume making a political PIA of myself to those that need it (yes, a warning). So I’m continuing to put up some of the “Groktober” videos and the interview I did with Ken Eyring and Tom Murray.

The politicization of Americans’ faith traditions has recently devolved into the newfound leftist phrase “Christian nationalist,” often combined with race as “white Christian nationalism” and then touted as a threat to the nation. But in seemingly racist arrogance, these Christ-haters ignore the history of black Christian nationalism.

In an insightful contemplation of the nascent anti-Christian crusade by god-hating Marxists, Kenneth L. Woodward writes in First Things that “[w]hite Christian nationalism is a social construction the meaning of which depends on who is doing the constructing.”  Woodward chronicles the effort by a handful of Christian-hating politicos to portray the dreaded “Christian nationalist” category as “an implicit theocratic threat to the country” but adroitly points out the flaws of this slanderous undertaking:

In sum, “white Christian nationalist” is an inherently political concept. … The relationship between Christianity and American nationalism has a long history, against which any new iteration must be understood. … In the Cold War era, when the spread of Communism was the nation’s main concern, both liberals and conservatives advanced their political agendas by appealing to yet other forms of Christian nationalism. And so, in the biblical idiom of freedom and justice, did Martin Luther King Jr.

Indeed, Joe Biden invokes God routinely to endorse his godless edicts.  How does he escape the white Christian nationalist moniker?  And what of black Christians who embrace the clear Christian roots of the American experience?  Are they not a threat to the nation?

The meaning of words and phrases can be extremely important.  “White supremacist” once referred to white people who believe that whites are a superior race to blacks.  The term has been perverted to mean “white people” (or even black people who do not agree with Critical Race Theory).  The political/secular crusade against Christianity seeks to similarly recast the good traditions of liberty, equality, and unalienable rights that arose from Christianity and led to the abolitionist movement as somehow evil.  Many black voices, both current and historical, join Martin Luther King, Jr. in support of precisely the same Christian precepts embraced by so-called white Christian nationalists.

Martin Luther King, Jr. is no longer the darling of the left.  He has essentially been canceled: whites who invoke his legacy are knee-jerk slandered as white supremacists.  But King was a bold, devout Christian preacher, politician, and activist for whom faith in Christ was the foundation of all that he did, including his martyrdom for the cause of civil rights.  His “I Have a Dream” speech still echoes dimly in the minds of Americans trying to fathom how race-based hiring, advancement, and reparations will accomplish anything other than the destruction of everything King invested his career — and life — to accomplish.

King was hardly the sole black American to elevate his faith into the Christian nationalist “biblical idiom of freedom and justice.”  Black and white Americans have long found unity in that shared faith that fueled the abolitionist movement and strives even now for aspirational equality, under Marxist attack by those invoking the inequitable, destructive ideologies of race, gender, and queer “theories” that all advance principles antithetical to Christian ideals.  These toxic theories create division, emphasize rights (that would not exist but for the Christian contribution) over duties, demand “works” of racial repentance, bizarre pronouns, or trans-groveling, and do not aspire toward freedom, equality, or justice.  That is, they are overtly anti-Christian.

Many great black American minds held strongly to the Christian religion and the American creed.  Frederick Douglass was outspoken in his passion for the American liberties now under assault:

I am a Republican, a black, dyed in the wool Republican, and I never intend to belong to any other party than the party of freedom and progress. … There is no negro problem. The problem is whether the American people have loyalty enough, honor enough, patriotism enough, to live up to their own constitution. … Education means emancipation. It means light and liberty. It means the uplifting of the soul of man into the glorious light of truth, the light by which men can only be made free.

Walter E. Williams was no less shy in expressing his faith and opposing the ongoing Marxist destruction of the nation:

Democracy and liberty are not the same. Democracy is little more than mob rule, while liberty refers to the sovereignty of the individual. … Income redistribution not only betrays the founders’ vision, it’s a sin in the eyes of God. … It’s morality that is society’s first line of defense against uncivilized behavior. … For those of us who are Christians, I’m very sure that when God gave Moses the commandment Thou Shalt Not Steal, he did not mean … unless you get a majority vote in Congress.

Sojourner Truth and Harriet Tubman were both ardently devout Christians.  While the social justice warrior crowd might falsely claim that these famous ladies were bamboozled into a false faith, their accomplishments would have been impossible without faith.  Both women drew their courage from their Christian convictions, with Tubman claiming, “I am at peace with God and all mankind.”

George Washington Carver proclaimed, “Our creator is the same and never changes despite the names given Him by people here and in all parts of the world.  Even if we gave Him no name at all, He would still be there, within us, waiting to give us good on this earth.”  Booker T. Washington wrote, “If no other consideration had convinced me of the value of the Christian life, the Christlike work which the Church of all denominations in America has done during the last thirty-five years for the elevation of the black man would have made me a Christian.”

Thomas Sowell is a black American who strongly condemns the attack on constitutional rights by those who claim they seek social justice:

Racism is not dead, but it is on life support — kept alive by politicians, race hustlers and people who get a sense of superiority by denouncing others as “racists.” … If you have always believed that everyone should play by the same rules and be judged by the same standards, that would have gotten you labeled a radical 60 years ago, a liberal 30 years ago and a racist today.

Actor Harry Lennix, a Catholic, has remarked, “The black church is extremely important in black America.  I think most Americans themselves believe in a divine power, in a God, and I’m sure that that number increases with black people.”  Rosa Parks held that “I believe there is only one race — the human race.”  Voddie Baucham, Jr. writes, “Who am I to tell a white brother that he cannot be reconciled to me until he has dredged up all of the racial sins of his and his ancestors’ past and made proper restitution?  Christ has atoned for sin!”

Defining “Christian nationalism” is a patently vague political game.  In contrast, defining America as founded on Christian ideals of equal rights and fundamental liberties, which gave rise to the abolitionist movement, is a true, non-racist definition of the term, embraced by black and white Americans alike.  The battle against slavery and prejudice will always go on, and there will always be brothers and sisters in Christ (of all colors and nationalities) agreeing with Rev. King: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

Christianity is the light, and the love, entwined in this American nation.  That’s Christian nationalism, in plain black and white.

Most readers are already familiar with a flag pole outside Nashua City Hall, the one being referred to in this link. Over the years, it has been called various names. For those not up to speed on Nashua matters, I will offer the latest Grok piece and the one from the day before.

Much can be discussed here, and there are multiple topics for future articles, but I’ll touch upon just a few.

Many readers are familiar with my anger against the whole senate, but in keeping with an attitude of gratitude, I’ll point out that I’m glad to have a senator who denounces city hall’s shenanigans because Groksters Beth Scaer and her husband do not.

And seeing that we’re into Day 3 of candidate filing time, I want to recognize Mr. Scaer for being Rosenwald’s opponent in 2022 and again this year.  I encourage him to add free speech to his platform of the usual Cornerstone-related issues.

The Scaers were ahead of their time in many ways because the flag pole I’m talking about was the subject of much water cooler talk when Beth flew the women’s sports flag almost four years ago, yet it’s only recently a hot item in the legislature.

I could go on to discuss women’s sports bills SB375 and HB1205, but I want to get back to the flag pole and acknowledge the Disqus comments following the more recent Grok piece.  I recognize some of the usual suspects, but there were also some less frequent flyers participating, and I want to go on record speaking to some of the discussion there.

There was a comment in support of abolishing said flag pole, which certainly has merit to it. I would support that thought, though I’ll point out that the flag pole issues are just a symptom of what’s wrong with city hall.  One does not need to be a doctor to know that making a symptom disappear is not necessarily a solution to the undesired condition in need of a cure.  It’s also a form of group punishment, which I know is utilized by coaches, boot camp drill instructors, and at least one of my former bosses.  Someone else can take that discussion further in another article, but I’ll move on to another Nashua issue, right-to-know.

Compliments of our fickle House and Queen Sharon’s Senate Sheeple, HB 1002 could be signed by the Damn Emperor any day now, and I don’t remember the final language as to when it takes effect.  Therefore, time is of the essence and I wanted to get my RTK request in ASAP.  I emailed Risk Management and the Office of the Mayor this morning.  I said the following:

FRONT LINES

I understand there are concerns about supporting Israel, and I’ve openly said that long-term Israel needs to wean itself – voluntarily – from US support (as, more broadly, any country wanting to have pride in itself should).  But this war must be won first.  How do you win a war?  By crushing the enemy so thoroughly that they stop fighting and accept defeat.

 

 

 

 

And, as I opined in one of my Israel posts, at the end, that the war against a caliphate MUST include undermining the religion as it currently exists.  If there is, or can be developed, wedges to insert into Islamic dialog that such actions as we saw in Israel recently, and more broadly how such actions around the world over decades are violations of Islamic law, let’s do this.  Surely, between multiple scholars of Islam and moderate Muslims (they do exist) ways can be studied to do this.  Start with this guy:

To truly win a war with an enemy committed to dying in this fight – because their greatest reward possible is to die in the fight – one must, in turn, figure out how to demoralize them and someone remove that impetus.  If, for example, it can somehow be shown that terror and kidnapping and so on is against Islam, then that can push a drive to reconsider these things.  So, too, can a “new interpretation” of what awaits the martyr in the afterlife:

 

 

As an aside.  Consider that Islam has four wives per husband (up to, as they can afford), plus as many slave women as they can catch.  What does this logically do?  Create a shortage of women.  So to all those sex starved poorer men, EITHER they go out and capture women (Captive of the Right Hand) by engaging in jihad, OR they get killed in jihad and get an eternity of women.  It’s a diabolically-clever system, no?

As if prices aren’t high enough already, OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) announced at its annual meeting that they will continue current production cuts (5.8 million barrels per day total) through September, thereafter to 3.66 million barrels daily.

Reuters is quoted as the source, but face it, OPEC (mostly Middle Eastern countries) is no friend of the American people, no matter the source. This will mean, yes, thank you, Biden, prices will be going up heading into another winter heating season. Shortages are likely so folks start stock piling now.

Unless he’s already signed HB1002, the new tax on access to public records in New Hampshire is still waiting to become law. If it becomes law, many towns will consider it, but the most grotesque government offenders will implement it with extreme prejudice as soon as they are able.

Nashua, Londonderry, and Dover are drooling in anticipation.HB1002 is their baby—a foot in the door, that camel’s nose, incrementalism to further undermining transparency. The goal is to be like New Jersey. NJ is a few iterations further along; their updated public records law makes fewer records public, and the ones that still are increasingly unaffordable.

The new legislation overhauls New Jersey’s existing Open Public Records Act and could make it harder for media outlets and the public to access some documents, The Hill reported.

It would also continue to limit access to government text and email correspondence and allow agencies to charge more for releasing information — even if the evidence is not in complete form.

Also, the law makes it harder on lawyers to get back fees in cases where requests are wrongfully denied by agencies, The Hill reported.

It is not an extreme possibility. It is the goal.

Nashua doesn’t give a shit about your right to know, and they aren’t even secretive about that, so Jim the Douche Donchess must be jealous of what Gov. Phil Murphy just did. Given the freedom and power, Donchess would sign on to that in a heartbeat because he doesn’t want you to know and likely thinks you are too stupid to understand why. If he were Prometheus, he would steal the fire and keep it for himself because the peasants are too clumsy to grasp how good or great his uses for it are, even when he burns them with it repeatedly.

You are not worthy of such knowledge and entitled only to what Donchess deems to share when he decides to share it. It means what he says and nothing more. That is the state of Nashua City governance, which is not improving while he is in command.

And no, New Jersey did not get here from there overnight, but just like property taxes in the Garden State, it started with a lie on the slightest whisper of a breeze. We want to reduce property taxes with a statewide tax. If you do not know how that worked out, NJ has one of the highest tax burdens in the nation (state and property and the rest of it), while New Hampshire’s is one of the lowest. It is why we oppose NH Dems Jersey tactics – that same whispered lie that a statewide tax will lower your local taxes.

NH already does more with less and has better outcomes, which would end.

HB1002 is a carpenter ant. If we can’t convince the governor to kill it, it will begin gnawing away at the foundations of government accountability until it finds a way to get to where New Jersey is today.

If HB1002 is still in play and Governor Sununu has not yet signed it (he has not, as I write this), they do not have the votes to override a veto.

Ask him to please veto that bill.

As much fun as it is for Republicans to watch Hunter Biden being dragged through the mud in order to ‘prove’ that he lied on a federal form — as if that’s something that should take five days rather than five minutes — the simple fact is that as part of ‘the people’, his right to own a gun is protected by the 2nd and 14th Amendments to the federal constitution.  Period.

There are no exceptions for drug users or convicted felons in the 2nd Amendment, just as there aren’t any in the 1st Amendment.  You don’t have to fill out a form in order to get permission to speak, nor could such a form be used to deny that right to drug users or convicted felons.  Nor could you be prosecuted for lying on such a form if it existed.

That is the heart of the Bruen decision:  That the 2nd Amendment must be accorded the same level of respect as the 1st; that the right to keep and bear arms is not some kind of second-class right.

Unfortunately, prosecutions like this one undermine that decision when we should be doing everything possible to strengthen it.

Which is to say, rather than cheering the fact that Hunter Biden is being prosecuted under laws that shouldn’t exist in the first place, Republicans should be working to repeal those laws — or, if they believe there is a need for such laws, to amend the Constitution to authorize them.

I mean, even Gavin Newsom has realized that placing ‘common sense’ restrictions on RKBA requires amending the Constitution.  Why is it so hard for Republicans to figure that out?

THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE SUPREME COURT
No. 2023-0097
Daniel Richard v. Christopher Sununu, et al.

1. On the 3rd day of June, the Town of Auburn has objected to the Appellants filing for leave of the court to file a new late authority from the Supreme Court of the United States, claiming that its recent decision in ALEXANDER v. SOUTH CAROLINA STATE CONFERENCE OF THE NAACP, 22-807 602 U.S.___ (2024), (Alexander) is irrelevant to this instant case, which is simply not true.

Summary

2. On the 14th day of August, the Appellant file a notice of new late authorities citing the recent decision of Moore v. Harper, 600 U.S. 1 (2023), “Harper” and the New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn., Inc., et al. v. Bruen— 20-843 (U.S. June 23, 2022), “Bruen” and the District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), as binding precedent.
3. Both the Town of Auburn and the state Appellee’s chose not to object to the Appellants filing of these new late authorities (Aug. 14 2023) (Moore, Bruen, Heller, decisions), therefore, they have waived their right to object to the evolution of those precedents as cited in the Alexander decision which cites, and reinforces the Appellant’s citation of new late authorities in recent SCOTUS decisions in Moore, Bruen, Heller, on August 14th, 2023.
4. The Town of Auburn claims as its objection on pg. 1-2, item 4, that Alexander case is not relevant because it is simply a redistricting case base “racial or partisan gerrymandering” and that did not create binding precedent about – any of the issues at play in the present case”; and on pg. 2. Item 5, that nothing in Alexander case is relevant to how this Court should interpret Part II, Article 32, of the New Hampshire Constitution.
5. Such a claims by the Town of Auburn has omitted a fact in law. The Smiley court precedent in 1932, established a detailed list of at least 12 other duties of the legislatures of the several states (see below), besides redistricting. The Smiley court (1932) Harper (2023) precedents reinforced a fact in law that a citizen, elector, and taxpayer of a State has constitutional standing under the Article I §4, cl. 1. to challenge ultra vires actions of the legislature.
6. The Smiley, Moore, and now Alexander decisions, are a line of redistricting cases going back to Smiley in 1932, which examined in great detail the Federal Elections Clause (Article I §4, cl. 1), and the duties of the legislatures of the several states when exercising their law-making powers under Article I §4, cl. 1.
7. The Appellant cited in his Memorandum of law on standing, filed on 24th day of April which stated on pg. 6, that the Smiley court (1932) examination of Article I §4, cl. 1, specifically listed twelve other important duties of the state legislatures besides redistricting. SCOTUS lists some of the state legislatures’ other duties under Article I §4, cl. 1, duties besides redistricting on pg. 21—22 of the Moore v. Harper opinion:

“By fulfilling their constitutional duty to craft the rules governing federal elections, state legislatures do not consent, ratify, or elect—they make laws. Elections are complex affairs, demanding rules that dictate everything from the date on which voters will go to the polls to the dimensions and font of individual ballots. Legislatures must “provide a complete code for congressional elections,” including regulations “relati[ng] to notices, registration, supervision of voting, protection of voters, prevention of fraud and corrupt practices, counting of votes, duties of inspectors and canvassers, and making and publication of election returns.” (Emphasis Added) [Smiley v. Holm, 285 U.S. 355, (1932)]; (Moore v. Harper et al. (2023)).

8. On the 29th day of November at oral arguments neither the Town of Auburn, nor the state Appellee’s address any of the federal questions, and failed to object to the late authorities of August 14, 2023. Therefore, they have waived their right to object now.
9. On the 25th day of April, the state Appellee’s, responding to the courts request for supplemental brief on the issue of standing, and chose not to address any federal questions, and it failed to object to the Appellants late authorities of August 14, 2023. Therefore, they have waived their right to object now.
10. On the 25th day of April, the Town of Auburn also filed a supplemental brief on the issue of standing. The Town acknowledges a fact in law on page 9-10 of their brief, that the Federal Election Clause, Article I §4, cl. 1, is controlling, and binding on the N.H. Legislature.

“See Kibbe, 142 N.H., at CITE (“At the same time, we have long recognized that the legislature is entitled to regulate the time, place, and manner of elections in New Hampshire…” (emphasis added)); see also U.S. Const. art. 1, s 4 (“The Times, Places, and Manner of holding Elections  for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the legislature thereof, but the Congress may at any time by law make of alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.” (emphasis added)).

11. The Plaintiff’s right to vote in State and Federal elections is protected by both the Const. N.H. Part I, art. 11 and U.S. Constitution Article 1, Section 2, and the Seventeenth Amendment and the laws written pursuant thereof. As the manner in which the Federal elections are conducted is question, and now under, Smiley, Moore, Alexander, line of cases under Article I §4, cl. 1, must now be examined under the Heller, Bruen, methodology applies, as the Plaintiff’s Federal voting rights are affected. The plain text of the Plaintiff’s voting rights is satisfied as he is an inhabitant of N.H. (defined by the Const. Part I, art. 11), and the Plaintiff is one of the people under the U.S. Constitution Article 1, Section 2, and the Seventeenth Amendment. Therefore, these cases are relevant and controlling in this instant case.

“Although the Elections Clause does not exempt state legislatures from the ordinary constraints imposed by state law, federal courts must not abandon their duty to exercise judicial review. This Court has an obligation to ensure that state court interpretations of state law do not evade federal law.” Moore v. Harper et al. (2023) Syllabus Pg. 5.

Religion of Peace? The Koran has 109 verses dedicated to war with nonbelievers and very few dedicated to tolerance and peace. All Muslims must engage in this war directly or indirectly or they’ll be condemned to hell.

This has been the ideology for 1400 years. It’s a bad ideology.

Since 9-11 there has been 45,293 terrorist attacks world wide. In the past 30 days, 98 attacks. In 2023 there were 1,784 attacks that killed 11,424 people and injured 12,999. In 2022 there were 1,198 attacks killing 9,025 people and injuring 6,815. In 2021 there were 2,281 attacks, 11,831 dead 9,599 injured.

The list goes on and on like this for more than a thousand years of wars of conquest, slavery and terror.

Not so very peaceful really.

Closing thought: What if the leak was deliberate as an escape valve for what was a very poorly handled and badly executed political persecution? It’s kind of like Biden’s sudden rebound on the border, except what Biden did was meaningless. This. This would be something.

Back in 2019, Hasbro released a woke feminist version of one of its more historically popular board games, as Monopoly. Ms. Monopoly “recognizes inventions that women created or contributed to and gives bonuses to female players.”

That’s the sanitized Wikipedia description. What they mean by bonuses is that “Women get $1,900 at the start of the game and receive $240 salary when passing “Go,” whereas men start with $1,500 and receive a $200 salary.”

I’m not sure who made those choices, but my first thought was how insulting it is to women. In the regular version, everyone starts out the same, and sex is irrelevant. Gameplay and a bit of luck decide who wins. An observation shared across the political spectrum.

Reception towards Ms. Monopoly was mostly negative upon its announcement. Eric Thurm, the author of “Avidly Reads: Board Games”, said the game created a “surface-level fantasy world” where women succeed simply because of their gender. Madeleine Kearns of National Review called it “patronizing pointlessness”. Queens College‘s philosophy department head Christine Sypnowich said it was “unhelpful to portray women as needing special advantages.” Jennifer Borda, an associate professor specializing in feminist studies at the University of New Hampshire, suggested that it would be more suitable if male players instead faced challenges women face in the workplace.

I’m not sure what those challenges are. I know they exist, but I am not a woman, so I can’t possibly see that work through their eyes. I can say that even back in the 70s, I had female superiors. Bosses. Managers. No more or less competent than their male equivalents. They either knew and did their job, or they didn’t. Sex was irrelevant. I understand that’s not true everywhere, certainly not then and to some extent now, but these days, women graduate college at higher rates and make decent money, not that it matters in this economy.

There will always be glass ceilings and hurdles. Women haven’t made any sort of an inroad into men’s professional sports (for obvious reasons), and there aren’t very many female undersea welders or oil rig workers. I could list dozens of high-paying, dangerous jobs women don’t want, and there is an equally long list of things women don’t want in many other jobs that make them less of an asset and that likely affect pay.

Men and women are different in many ways, including how they view work, location, willingness to travel, hours, commitment, and job choices.

Ms. Monopoly does us a disservice by making assumptions that even women find insulting.

Maybe Monopoly needs a Trans Ms. Monopoly. A world where men pretending to be women have more rights and opportunities than actual women.

Before we answer the question in the headline, we need to reflect on D-Day in 1944. This action was the largest multinational assault in history. The invasion force included 7,000 ships and landing craft manned by over 195,000 naval personnel from eight allied countries.

Almost 133,000 troops from the United States, the British Commonwealth, and their allies landed on D-Day. Casualties from these countries during the landing numbered 10,300. By June 30, over 850,000 men, 148,000 vehicles, and 570,000 tons of supplies had landed on the Normandy shores.

The average age of American servicemen that day was 20. Barely out of high school, some lied about their age to volunteer; these heroes were the pinnacle of patriotism and sacrifice. 1944 was a point in time when there was a national love for our country. It was fashionable to be patriotic, and few would dissent from that national wave. These men and women left home to go to fight and die for future generations to enjoy peace and freedom. Some went to Europe to fight the Germans and Italians, while some, like my dad, went to the South Pacific to turn back the Japanese. They did their jobs in both theaters, came home, built a great country, and never spoke about their experiences. They did not start the battle but banded together to shut it down quickly and became the Greatest Generation, a title they will never lose.

Today, patriotism is challenged rather than embraced. You only need to look at the unrest on college campuses in May, where students occupied. Courtyards and buildings alike in an attempt to get these schools to suspend financial activities with Israel. These ignorant young adults have been indoctrinated since the first day they set foot in a classroom. They have been told America is an evil country built with the blood and sweat of Black slaves. They have been taught that capitalism is corrupt and designed so that only the rich do well. They are convinced that our Republic is broken and should be replaced with a Socialist form instead, where everyone has an equal outcome regardless of the effort invested.

How could we ever see these ungrateful individuals setting aside their dreams and wishes to come together and put their lives on the line to thwart a foe who wants to harm America? It is unrealistic, and we best hope that there is no Third Reich on the horizon, or we best learn to speak German.

We are seeing the beginnings of countries positioning themselves to become the sole superpower in control of the globe. China is attacking us economically and killing our citizens in their prime with Fentanyl. They are buying up our farmland and setting up thousands of illegal pot farms nationwide. They have been stealing our intellectual property for years, and our men and women have shown their stripes. Rather than rallying around the flag and saying not in our backyard, recruitment numbers are falling well below goals.

The Greatest Generation will be gone in a few years, and they will pass knowing that no future generation will threaten their title. It was well earned, and I am sure it gives them no satisfaction to see what America has evolved into. Today’s America is not what their brothers and sisters spilled their blood for. We salute and thank you, men and women of World War II, and we are sorry for what happened on our watch.

As the great President Ronald Reagan said in 1984: “If not us, who? If not now, when? The Greatest Generation said we will, and now. God Bless them and wrap his arms around them.

This Biden administration and his minions have been lying to us since January 20, 2021. They have been working tirelessly to confuse the American people by convoluting the broken, wide-open southern border with a broken legal immigration system the government has not addressed since the Reagan administration.

Whenever anyone presses the President on the chaos at our border, he gets defensive and says he has done all he can do and only Congress can give him the tools to close the border. Baloney! Biden created an open border on his first day with an executive order. Under Speaker McCarthy, the House passed H.R. 2 nearly two years ago, a comprehensive immigration bill sent to the Senate and buried by Chuck Schumer. Schumer refused to bring the bill to the floor for debate and vote, as they would rather gaslight the people, telling them the Republicans are standing in the way. Biden destroyed the border, and now he wants to ride in on his white horse to fix it.

Biden has said for years that if given the power and money, he would fix the border. Well, this afternoon, Biden will prove himself wrong as he plans to sign an executive order addressing the asylum issue that is creating a bottleneck at the border and pushing court dates for illegal crossers 5 to 7 years out. We all know the bleak chances of these “newcomers” ever seeing the inside of a courtroom unless they are arrested. Biden announced the signing of his executive order on Tuesday afternoon and started with a lie. Biden explained he has to take these dramatic steps because Republicans will not negotiate on a comprehensive immigration bill. That is absolutely false, but nobody calls him out on it. An immigration bill involves people coming into our country legally. It handles how many and who we let in. Legal immigrants are vetted, issued green cards, and placed on a path to citizenship. Immigration has nothing to do with people wading across the Rio Grande, crawling under concertina wire, and claiming asylum as they give themselves up to a border agent. These people have created their first illegal act in the United States with their actions and should not be lumped in with legal immigrants.

Biden continued to paint a vile picture of how MAGA Republicans will mishandle the border, which is why he has to take action to fix it himself. That is tantamount to me throwing a baseball through your living room window and then knocking on your door, saying I am the only person stepping up to fix your broken window. He spoke about Republicans tearing children from their mother’s arms and locking them in cages. First, you see the videos. Do you see any family units coming across the border or hundreds of single men? Secondly, the cages he refers to are the original Obama/ Biden cages, and to date, the Biden administration has lost over 85,000 minors in the system. It is suspected these children are now either in the illegal sex trade or underage labor force.

Nobody is inboard for this action. The Far Left is upset that the daily number was cut from 5,000, and the path to citizenship is unclear. The Right wants to know why now and why we are letting any illegals in.

Biden’s plan allows up to 2,500 illegals a day to enter our country before the border is closed. If the border is closed and secure, why are we allowing any illegals to enter? This executive order is a desperate Hail Mary as Biden continues to drop in the polls and he sees reelection slipping away. Had he not destroyed Trump’s plan out of spite on day one, he would not have to fix the problem. What Biden did today was show up to fix our window. Please do not give him the ball back.
