The Manchester Free Press aims to bring together in one place everything that you need to know about what’s happening in the Free State of New Hampshire. The site was launched on June 1, 2009.
As of August 2021, we are currently in the process of removing dead links and feeds, and updating the site with newer ones.
We publish links to “Our Friends & Allies” in the hopes that they will be useful. The appearance of any particular site in this list does not imply that we endorse everything that the particular site advocates. Liberty is a messy concept and not everyone agrees on what it means.
We do not link to any content hosted on Facebook or any other services that require logins to simply view content, or any content that is paywalled.
The Manchester Free Press is typeset in Merriweather by Eben Sorkin and Alfa Slab One by José Solé. Our masthead is typeset in Old English Text MT.
Historically, there was a Manchester Free Press published in Manchester, U.K. in the nineteenth century, and a New Hampshire–based Manchester Free Press created by humanitarian and businessman Saul O. Sidore in the twentieth. Other than sharing a name with these two historical publications, we are not connected to them in any way.
