Notable Quote – Steve Mac Donald on Principles vs Party

Granite Grok - Mon, 2023-03-13 12:00 +0000

Once again, the operative question: Who Watches the Watchers?  We know who our “Watchers” are – our readers. Smart, opinionated, know all the pertinent facts/issues – if we screw up, they’ll let us know.

And I am actually happy about that as we can’t know everything, and we readily admit it. We do know a lot, but there’s no way we can do it all.  We welcome it (unless you are like Thad Riley and Jeanne Dietsch, who just make stuff up because we are, at times, their ‘Watchers”) as they can’t seem to prove their verbiage that we are liars.

While most Groksters are registered Republicans, we do look at Republicans and hold them to account more often, and with much more rigor than Democrats (who seldom have only 1) your money is the Govt’s, 2) Unborn babies can be murdered with wild abandon, 3) Govt allocates “rights” when it feels like it, 4) none of you should own a gun because 5) we hate the Constitution and avoid it whenever possible. Sure, there’s other stuff, but those seem to be the main ones.

And yes, when Republicans start to sound and act like Democrats, and we find out about it, we are all good on applying the precepts of Accountability.

Politics is about keeping score. And since we’re here for the principles, not just the party, it behooves us to report on elected officials registered as Republicans who refuse to act like them. Republicans should protect free speech, association, and its public exercise. And yet there are those who will not.

-Steve Mac Donald (“Eleven NH Republicans Join Democrats To Protect Unconstitutional Buffer Zone Law“).

So thanks to Ed for quoting Steve and to both for winding me up for a quick post after getting that “trackback” that another site is using Ed’s post.  Go read both of them even if they are four years old (that’s what I get for searching on GraniteGrok – you never know what pops up now and then).

Note:

And yes, MANY THANKS to those who contributed to our February Fundraiser.  I have no idea what the final number is, but I DO know that one of the projects we’ve started is looking for a better search engine.  We’re talking with our webmistress, who brought up JetPack. I’ve done an afternoon eval, and it may work “good enough” to be far better than the basic WordPress one, so we may have her install the free version to get a feel for it and then go to the professional version if it works out.

The Morning Mail – March 13th, 2023 (Special Silicon Valley Bank Links Edition!)

Granite Grok - Mon, 2023-03-13 10:30 +0000

On this day in 1677, Massachusetts gained title to Maine for $6,000. The Uncle Sam cartoon figure debuted in the New York Lantern weekly (1852). And the US Senate began Andrew Johnson’s impeachment trial (1868).

In 1877 American Chester Greenwood patented earmuffs after inventing them at age 15. Tsar Alexander II was assassinated (1881), the US Adopted Standard Time (1884), in 1960, the Chicago Cardinals moved to St Louis, and in 1970 Digital Equipment Corp introduced the PDP-11 minicomputer.

In 1986 Microsoft had its Initial public offering, and the Blizzard of 1993 struck the Northeast US.

March 13th is K-9 Veterans Day. It is also Napping (day), Girls Win Day (depending on what you mean by ‘girl,’ I suppose), and good samaritan day. You could also celebrate L. Ron Hubbard, Ken (as in Barbie), being smart and Sexy, or opening umbrellas indoors.

Hey, House NHGOP … How About Playing Offense – Abolish DEI

Granite Grok - Mon, 2023-03-13 01:30 +0000

So I read this press release from Chris Ager congratulating the House NHGOP for playing defense. In fairness, they did expand … ever so slightly … EFAs, which is not playing defense. BUT the NHGOP should be playing offense … because once Chris Pappas becomes Governor in 2024 they won’t be able to play offense.

What they could and should do is remove DEI from public education. More specifically, eliminate the DEI bureaucracy. The response, I’m sure, is: can’t do that because LOCAL CONTROL. My response to that: “local control” should not be used as a shield for anti-white racism, even when it is euphemistically described as Diversity-Equity-Inclusion. Additionally, DEI in reality is not a manifestation of local control. It is a manifestation of a permanent bureaucracy that is unaccountable and serves itself, not students and parents. In other words, DEI demonstrates that in reality there is no local control of public education in New Hampshire … just bureaucratic control.

If the Vice Chair Will Not Follow the GOP Platform… Why Is He Allowed to Stay VC?

Granite Grok - Mon, 2023-03-13 00:00 +0000

I recently had an email from a person that stated Ryan Terrell was against HB591 Fetal Heartbeat bill, which I am a co-sponsor of and is in the Judiciary committee now. His stance is against the NHGOP Platform, which I have a snippet of below.

We want to thank Rep John Sellers for this Contribution – Please direct yours to Editor@GraniteGrok.com.
You can review our ‘Op-Ed Guidelines‘ on the FAQ Page.

If the vice chair will not follow the GOP Platform and is speaking for the NHGOP, why is he allowed to stay VC? As a representative, I am being stabbed in the back trying to save lives, and Ryan and the NHGOP are doing just the opposite.

Please let me know what you find out, and thank you in advance.

We believe that life is sacred, from conception to natural death, and that we cannot diminish the value of one category of human life without diminishing the value of all human life.

Thanks,

John Sellers
Representative, Grafton 18

Editors note: We have including Chairman Ager’s Response:

Your note is appreciated. I have communicated to the VC about his roll and support to the platform on this issue. The NHGOP supports the platform and our legislative leaders’ priorities.

Thank you.

Chris

Belknap County Delegation – So What Do They Expect to Accomplish at Tomorrow Night’s Meeting?

Granite Grok - Sun, 2023-03-12 22:30 +0000

A redo of the tainted results of the illegal Budget Review Subcommittee meetings due to them not being properly noticed at ALL as demanded by NH’s Open Meeting Law, RSA 91-A.

Sorry, dudes, dudettes, and duds, no can do. We on the Gilford Budget Committee accidentally did that a couple times over the almost ten years I was on it.  Both were truly accidental – and they were “Budget subcommittee” meetings as well in dealing with either the Municipal or School District budgets. Having recognized that mistake, what was the remedy that the Gilford Budget Committee came up with?

A complete do-over to ensure that we kept the Trust of our fellow townfolks and not be sued for doing the right things but doing them wrongly. We started from scratch as if those improperly noticed meetings had never happened. Everything was thrown out, new meetings scheduled and properly noticed, and apologies to the relevant department heads. It was called “Doing the Right Thing and Not Cutting Corners” even though we were under really tight deadlines. We made it happen and we made it work.

However, it looks like the Delegation is only concerned with meeting their deadlines and not Doing the Right Things, and it appears that they are willing To Cut Corners from a procedural basis to say “See, we did it!”.  Again I got this email several different ways and note that she BCC’d everyone this time instead of her previous practice of just doing a CC so that we, the Public, could tell who was in on this:

A “re-do”.  Sorry, you can’t do a “ratify” over materials and decisions that were not made in public session.  It was already declared that all of those Budget Review SubCommittee meetings were illegal:

Subject: meeting
Good morning,

Because the Budget Review Committee meetings were not publicly posted, the Committee will have to schedule a properly posted meeting to ratify the action taken at the previous meetings. This should be done with enough time remaining in March to properly notice a Delegation meeting to follow through with last night’s agenda.

Once the respective chairmen set the meeting dates/times, you will be notified.

Debra

And not being publicly noted, those meetings WERE illegal.  So who made this decision to “ratify”?  Methinks it would have been Chair Harry Bean – he IS in charge, right?

This might well be the time to state that the NH Attorney General’s office has been contacted.  This oughta be amusing!

What is the legal rational for doing “a ratify”? WHO said it was legit to make believe that any results were still legal even as the meetings weren’t? Is there a new addendum Clause that was added to RSA 91-A called “We Can Ignore Parts Of the Law Because We’re Stupid And A Sham Is Better Than Doing It Right” when I wasn’t looking? That “slapdash” is now the standard we should expect from our County elected Representatives?

Did that “legal advice” come from County Attorney Andrew Livernois who previously (and publicly) couldn’t keep RSA 24:9-d from being mashed up with RSA 91-A by Chair Harry Bean simply to get a desired political result (throwing off a conservative Commissioner the Gunstock Area Commission to replace him with a wild eyed Progressive Feminist)? Methinks he KNEW his opinion was wrong when I challenged Livernois on it, he stopped responding in trying to justify his work/written advice (IMHO, at about the same level of rigor of “Dr.” Jill Biden’s Education doctorate thesis  that most academicians were “commenting” on it when it became a topic. I started to read it and realized how poor it was and gave up).

Who else were Harry Bean’s advisors?  We’ve heard this tactic recently from former Gunstock Area Commissioner Gary Kiedaisch when he said he was on firm legal ground because “attorneys” said he was – and then never revealed who they were.  Open and Transparent.  Oh yeah, like NH State Rep Steven Bogert just did, too.

What is this – the tactic du jour by embattled politicians?

I’m afraid they are going to get a rude awakening.

Oh, and if you are looking to attend tomorrow night to demand that the Delegation DO THE RIGHT THING IN FOLLOWING THE LAW but know that we’re getting a “lingering N’oreaster” starting tomorrow night, consult the BelknapCounty.gov front page first. It is showing that the meeting is still on but that might change.

NH State Rep Stephen Bogert at the Belknap County Delegation Meetings – Use of Email BCC feature vs RSA 91-A (NH’s Right To Know Law) – Two Responses

Granite Grok - Sun, 2023-03-12 21:00 +0000

So, I got a very strangely worded response from NH State Rep Steven Bogert to my Right To Know to him:

Subject Re: Right To Know demand for Belknap Delegation emails – NH State Rep Steven Bogart statement to use BCC feature of emails to hide email addresses

In reviewing of the Right to Know request:

After review of Rep Steven Bogert email accounts, it was determined that there was no sent or received emails that matched your Right to Know request, to the best of Rep Steven Bogert knowledge.

Referring to oneself in the third person?  So the Belknap Delegation Chair of the Budget Review Committee who is the progenitor of the tactic to hide who he is communicating with via email concerning Public Information? Hasn’t Delegation Chair Harry Bean instructed these new folks on RSA 91-A strictures on what is or isn’t permissible.  Oh wait, HE doesn’t know either…

So of course I had a response – first by email and then, considering how egregious this antic is, a special edition of Skip’s Sauntering Snippets

Subject Re[2]: Right To Know demand for Belknap Delegation emails – NH State Rep Steven Bogart statement to use BCC feature of emails to hide email addresses

So who are the “Appropriate people that you stated that hiding the names of our public officials using the Blind Carbon Copy feature of emails?  You never stated, for the record, who they were.  We have no way to check the functioning of our Public Body with that tactic (and it violates a different part of 91-A).

How can the Public know that your “Appropriate People” are even  credible in this area?  Simply stating that phrase doesn’t make it credible.  So who are they?

Given the other issue Monday night, that the Chair, the Clerk, the County Administrator, and the Commissioner ALL said that the Delegation Budget Review meetings HAD been publicly notice but my Right To Know of Tuesday morning PROVED they lied (at worst) and misled everyone (at best), you should understand my reluctance to blithely show absolute faith and quell my suspicions floating around your statement.

I find it highly amusing that while Chair Harry Bean was excoriating NH State Rep Barbara Comtois during the meeting, attempting to make the issues her fault instead of his as Chair, she was proven 100% correct and he was wrong.  How do I tell, as a member of the Public, that this is not a second instance of the same tactic?

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Trust can take years to build; it can be lost in an instance (or during a meeting).  Are the four enumurated officials going to apologize to the public? Especially the Chair and the Clerk who rudely attempted to “punish” State Rep Comtois for asking the questions you didn’t like, and for which she was EXACTLY correct?

NH State Rep Bogert, she read you the Law in showing the intent of the Law – are you still holding her to be wrong?  If so, tell us who the “Appropriate People” are so we, the Public, can verify your assertion.

-Skip

Trust – such an ephemeral thing, a fleeting thing. So a special edition

#Woke Academy Considers Genderless Award Categories … But They Are Still Handing Out an ‘Oscar!’

Granite Grok - Sun, 2023-03-12 19:30 +0000

You won’t find too many awards shows left that still give accolades to the best actor or actress, but the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences still does, and that triggers a lot of folks in the industry.

I can’t imagine any of them refusing an Oscar over it, but the Academy Awards might be ditching the practice as soon as next year.

“It makes sense for every awards organization that still uses it to scotch this outdated categorization,” The Times carped, adding, “… the categorizations don’t fit every performer. Prominent nonbinary performers including Emma Corrin … have argued for non-gendered categories to include those who don’t solely identify as male or female.”

The 96th Academy Awards in 2024 were already targeted by woke purists years ago; in September 2020, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced future eligibility reforms to the best picture category, forcing nominees to qualify by meeting “representation” standards among the crew of the film, at the film’s studio, or chances for training and advancement related to the development and release of the said film. A film could not be nominated unless it met two of the four standards.

There’s no reason for us to care, except that Hollywood still has an increasingly underserved effect on the culture. Influence it may not deserve. When was the last time a nominee or winner for best film was a movie you’d go and see for free, let alone pay? I can’t think of anything recent, but I’ve not watched the award show in decades. If it didn’t influence the culture, I’d have no reason to mention it.

Not that there’s anything I’m missing. A “trade show’ that hands out trophies to elite leftists (with few exceptions) and industry insiders is hardly a draw for average Americans. It used to be, but its divergence from normal America has resulted in an award for declining viewers. Many Awards are given off-camera now, leaving the supposed marquee stuff for the small screen.

If they want to take awards away from each other by combining actor and actress to “performer,” have at it, but it’s a hollow gesture.

Until you stop referring to the little gold statue by a man’s name, it’s just more virtue-signaling BS.

Two Bills Head to the Senate Floor Plus A Thank You

Granite Grok - Sun, 2023-03-12 18:00 +0000

This week I want to thank Speaker Sherman Packard. He has heeded our calls for action on several occasions. Notably, after the Biden vaccine mandates were announced, he sponsored a bill to prevent state enforcement of those mandates.

Please Submit Group communications or Press Releases to editor@granitegrok.com.Submission is not a guarantee of publication.
Note: This release has been lightly edited and reformatted.

When the Parent Bill of Rights was in peril last term, we put out a call to action to contact Speaker Packard. He did his best at the time, but after the bill narrowly failed, he pledged to sponsor the bill again this year. At the hearing for the bill last week, he said in testimony, “I’m having a hard time understanding why any legislator or parent would be against this legislation.” My sentiments exactly. Please contact Speaker Packard and thank him for his support of RebuildNH priorities: sherman.packard@leg.state.nh.us

GREAT NEWS! – HB 154, relative to the adoption of public health ordinances by municipalities, passed the House this week and heads to the Senate!

Two Bills Head to the Senate Floor

Thursday, March 16th, N.H. Senate
Senate Floor Vote
SB 58, SUPPORT ITL, relative to arrests without a warrant while in the care of a medical professional on the premises of a residential care or health care facility. This bill lowers the threshold needed for a warrantless arrest in medical facilities. According to this bill, “actual or threatened violence” can cause warrantless arrest. While we appreciate the real issue regarding workplace violence in medical facilities, we worry reducing the burden of proof needed could lead to abuse. If a patient refuses to wear a mask, could they be accused of “threatening violence”? Additionally, it has been pointed out that it is inappropriate for a police officer to determine what treatments are medically necessary.

SB 272, SUPPORT OTP, establishing a parental bill of rights in education. There should be no secrets between schools and students.
Please email the senators.

Dr. Naomi Wolf Apologizes to Republicans and Conservatives For Blindly Believing the Media and the Government

Granite Grok - Sun, 2023-03-12 16:30 +0000

Naomi Wolf has been getting red-pilled a lot in recent years, but the release of the January 6th video has prompted her to write a lengthy piece that includes something rare in the modern era; a full-throated, genuine apology.

Dear Conservatives, I Apologize – My “Team” was Taken in By Full-Spectrum Propaganda.

There is no way to avoid this moment. The formal letter of apology. From me. To Conservatives and to those who “put America first” everywhere.

I recommend reading the whole thing (it’s almost 3000 words). There are lessons for all of us about buying into government and media narratives (history) instead of remaining skeptical. Wolf spends a good deal of time exploring and defending the right of the public to assemble at the US Capitol peaceably. She even reminds us that she continues to hold some healthy skepticism but that, on specific points, she owes us all an apology.

Leaving aside the release of the additional Jan 6 footage and how it may or may not change our view of US history —- I must say that I am sorry for believing the dominant legacy-media “narrative” pretty completely from the time it was rolled out, without asking questions.

Those who violently entered the Capitol or who engaged in violence inside of it, must of course be held accountable. (As must violent protesters of every political stripe anywhere.)

But in addition, anyone in leadership who misrepresented to the public the events of the day so as to distort the complexity of its actual history — must also be held accountable.

And I’m not sharing it, so we can say we told you so to Naomi Wolf. It is how she itemizes the lies she accepted without question until now, as well as her genuine apology. The enumeration, while not exhaustive, is still a valuable reminder of the numerous frauds to which many on the Left cling bitterly.

Jan 6 has become, as the DNC intended it to become, after the fact, a “third rail”; a shorthand used to dismiss or criminalize an entire population and political point of view.

Peaceful Republicans and conservatives as a whole have been demonized by the story told by Democrats in leadership of what happened that day.

So half of the country has been tarred by association, and is now in many quarters presumed to consist of chaotic berserkers, anti-democratic rabble, and violent upstarts, whose sole goal is the murder of our democracy.

Republicans, conservatives, I am sorry.

I also believed wholesale so much else that has since turned out not to be as I was told it was by NPR, MSNBC and The New York Times.

I believed that stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop were Russian propaganda. Dozens of former intel officials said so. Johns Hopkins University said so. [https://sais.jhu.edu/news-press/hunter-biden-story-russian-disinformation-dozens-former-intel-officials-say].

“Trump specifically cited a “laptop” that contained emails allegedly belonging to Hunter Biden”, said ‘CNN Fact-Check’, with plenty of double quote marks. [https://www.cnn.com/factsfirst/politics/factcheck_036fb62c-377f-4c68-8fa5-b98418e4bb9c]

I believed this all — til it was debunked.

I believed that President Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia — until that assertion was dropped. [https://www.americanbar.org/news/abanews/aba-news-archives/2019/03/mueller-concludes-investigation/]

I believed that President Trump was a Russian asset, because the legacy media I read, said so [https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jan/29/trump-russia-asset-claims-former-kgb-spy-new-book].

I believed in the entire Steele dossier, until I didn’t, because it all fell apart. [https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-63305382].

Was there in fact an “infamous pee tape”? So many other bad things were being said about the man — why not? [https://www.businessinsider.com/christopher-steele-trump-pee-tape-probably-exists-2021-10]

I believed that Pres Trump instigated the riot at the Capitol — because I did not know that his admonition to his supporters to assemble “peacefully and patriotically” had been deleted from all of the news coverage that I read. Because of lies such as these in legacy media — lies which I and millions of others believed — half of our nation’s electorate was smeared and delegitimized, and I myself was misled.

It damages our nation when legacy media put words in the mouths of Presidents and former Presidents, and call them traitors or criminals without evidence.

It damages our country when we cannot tell truth from lies. This is exactly what tyrants seek — an electorate that cannot know what is truth and what is falsehood.

Through lies, half of the electorate was denied a fair run for its preferred candidate.

I don’t like violence. I do believe our nation’s capitol must be treated as a sacred space.

I don’t like President Trump (Do I not? Who knows? I have been lied to about him so much for so long, I can‘t tell whether my instinctive aversion is simply the habituated residue of years of being on the receiving end of lies).

But I like the liars who are our current gatekeepers, even less.

The gatekeepers who lie to the public about the most consequential events of our time — and who thus damage our nation, distort our history, and deprive half of our citizenry of their right to speak, champion and choose, without being tarred as would-be violent traitors – deserve our disgust.

I am sorry the nation was damaged by so much untruth issued by those with whom I identified at the time.

I am sorry my former “tribe” is angry at a journalist for engaging in —- journalism.

I am sorry I believed so much nonsense.

Though it is no doubt too little, too late —

Conservatives, Republicans, MAGA:

I am so sorry.

I often get sideways looks from politically active folks when I tell them I am willing to forgive anyone who both offers and demonstrates their honest and sincere forgiveness. It is impossible to call myself a Christian without it. Forgiveness is the foundation of faith because we are all sinners.

And Dr. Naomi Wolf has delivered, in my opinion, one of the most sincere apologies in the political realm I have ever read. We still don’t agree on everything, nor should we, so Naomi, I accept.

Online High School Secrets!!!

Granite Grok - Sun, 2023-03-12 15:00 +0000

I’m coming clean about the online secrets amongst teens in public high schools. I’m outing the savvy kids methods to mess around with whatever they want to on their Chromebooks.

We want to thank Betsy Harrington for this Contribution – Please direct yours to Editor@GraniteGrok.com.
You can review our ‘Op-Ed Guidelines‘ on the FAQ Page.

Imagine you are a teen and you just want to do your usual fooling around on the internet while at school, but the stupid internet blockers get in your way. You can’t access your phone because of school rules.

The most common method to bypass blocking (seemingly unknown by administrators) is to MISSPELL the site address in your search. You can get to your favorite games, to YouTube, and to PORN easily. The larger sites purchase many similar search terms to correctly direct searchers. Many schools block specific sites but the kids are getting there by these other methods. Check out this article that explains several methods to bypass the usual connection. https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/6-ways-to-watch-youtube-without-going-to-youtube/

Of course, tf a student wants read (or listen to) sexually explicit content while at school, they can always just go to their favorite permissible porn book. The Sora Student Library App provides a host of sexually explicit books. Books with misinformation like…“Everybody does it!” when speaking of anal sex. The truth is, many people NEVER do that. It discusses anal douching and warns about the constant fear of STDs when it itches back there. It has pictures. Kids could get traumatized or hurt by some of these sex act recommendations. One book literally hyperlinks kids to dating apps where it teaches sex app usage.

That’s child exploitation!

Read “This Book Is Gay” by Juno Dawson. The book is literally an offense in progress.

Our libraries contain many unsolicited sex Ed books that give bad information. Kids find these books because they are advertised to them through their library app as award-winning reading. The award on the front is like a grooming tool to make it all ok. Once they see the sexual content, they are hooked. Not on reading, … PORN.

CRT (Critical Race Theory) is also illegal as a curriculum in NH, but the library still promotes it on the wall as you enter. Radical CRT books are also advertised to your kids through their Chromebooks. Illegal as a curriculum, but the library has free rein to disseminate abuse to your kids. Their Chromebook is the equivalent of having unblocked internet access anywhere. Porn, music, fight videos, explicit books, ALL of it is accessible to tech savvy kids. Keeping their phones in a box at the front of the class, does not remove abusive distractions.

Kids need the best, most accurate messages at school, not extremist information hidden from parents’ view. It’s time to create a true educational environment at school, one without all of these agenda-driven distractions. Sexually explicit content, CRT, and abortion advice are unwelcome in the K-12 educational environment. Leave these divisive topics out of library and don’t promote them. Kids can access this information outside of the educational environment. Schools should continue to have higher standards than at home. Allowing our kids be exposed at school is damaging. Parents look, then speak up. It’s not as safe as you think.

2/25/2021: “Ivermectin Should Be Approved Immediately for Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19”

Granite Grok - Sun, 2023-03-12 13:30 +0000

In February of 2021, just one month into the reign of Biden I, doctors in England reported to US public health officials that Ivermectin should be approved to treat COVID-19.

While the document attached to the email is completely redacted, Lawrie’s cover letter states: “BIRD panel conclusions are that Ivermectin should be approved immediately for prevention and treatment of covid-19:”

The British Ivermectin Recommendation Development Panel recommends ivermectin for the prevention and treatment of covid-19 to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with covid-19 infection and to prevent covid-19 infection among those at higher risk. [Emphasis in original].

Acting FDA director Janet Woodcock forwarded the email to the next level up of so-called health officials, including Fauci, Collins, and Kessler, but her remarks are completely redacted, according to Judicial Watch. We do not know what she said or how she felt about the recommendation.

Ivermectin was available for people and had been safely used on humans for decades. If the FDA had done nothing, doctors would have prescribed it, and pharmacists filled those prescriptions because off-label use was the standard of care. he same is true for Hydroxychloriwuine. Health experts in the bureaucracy had to interject themselves to prevent common access and use.

And they did.

Note: Since 2020, we have added over 160 articles in our archive that mention Ivermectin or include research or expert opinion on the drug.

The FDA knew, but in February of 2021, they got a big thumbs up to using Ivermectin from health experts in the UK. Six months after the BIRD panel draft document, the FDA would post its now-infamous Horse-paste tweet, igniting a media smear campaign and a war on the drug.

We cannot begin to guess how many lives would have been improved or saved. About 800,000, according to this account.

Maybe the FDA needs to chance it’s name to the Food and Death Administration.
